Year 5 Autumn Term 2008

The pupils of Year 5 have been kept very busy during the autumn term, developing their creative and computer skills. They have been helped by two art students from UWIC, Miss Grant and Mr Winstanley.

Through an ancient Maori story, the children have been studying the Creation. They visited Porthkerry Beach and Cwm Talwg Woods to gain inspiration for their artwork on the wonders of the natural world.

Working in groups, the children produced all the scenery and props used in the making of a computer generated, animated film. We eagerly await the final, edited film.

The project provided the inspiration for the Year 5 class assembly performed for parents and fellow pupils. The assembly emphasised the importance of taking responsibility for our beautiful world.

These are some of the photographs taken during the class trip to the local beach and woods.
