Our work so far in Year 4 — Autumn 2008

Maths.
So far in maths we have revised the 2, 3, 4 and 5 times tables. And we have also been doing measuring .We have been looking at Pascal’s triangle.
English
We have done some poems on old people and silly people. We have been learning new grammar and about new spelling sounds.

Science
So far ,we have been looking at light in science for example Transparent, Translucent and Opaque and we did a presentation on light.
We also had a visit from Techniquest.

P.E.
In P.E. in school we have been looking at hockey in games and symmetrical and asymmetrical movement in gym and doing balances in gym as well.
Out side we have been doing hockey and games and practicing dribbling with the ball with the hockey sticks.

History In history we are doing Victorians and were learning about how they lived and the difference in rich families and the poor. We have looked at queen Victoria and prince Albert.
In this term we will be learning all this stuff.
