12 Jun 2009 - Local Artist, Karen Hughes Visits Year 3

Last Wednesday local artist Karen Hughes visited All Saints Church in Wales Primary School to give the pupils of Year 3 an exciting art lesson.  She talked to the children about the history of art and about Pablo Picasso whose work the children are studying this term.  Mrs. Hughes gave the children a master class on drawing faces.  They then sat opposite each other in pairs and drew each others faces.  At the end of the session, there was great fun trying to guess who the faces belonged to.  Year 3 teacher Mrs. Williams warmly thanked Mrs. Hughes for giving up her precious time to work with the class which the children thoroughly enjoyed and they greatly benefited from the experience.
