12 Jun 2009 - Science Day 2009
To celebrate this year being the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birthday, the children of All Saints Church in Wales Primary School recently dedicated their Science Day to this important scientist. The children were invited to dress up as scientists, explorers or anything that fitted this theme and they studied something of the life and work of Charles Darwin. Year 3 teacher and Science Co-ordinator, Mrs. Alison Williams, delighted the children by dressing up as Charles Darwin. Every class studied a science topic during the day and Mr. Ian Hill of XL Wales helped the pupils in selected classes to learn about forces, magnets, structures and materials.
Headteacher Richard Ware was pleased to see the children enjoying their learning so much and he thanked Mr. Hill and Mrs. Williams for making Science Day such a success.
